A bit of history
The CCDC was founded in 1976 and is owned by the Cree Nation. We operate the construction division in northern Quebec.
CCDC has earned a solid reputation over its 47 years of success.
Our team of project managers, technicians, procurement specialists, administrative and support staff have worked hard to try to deliver projects on time, within budget and at a high level of quality. We have extensive experience in carrying out large-scale projects throughout Quebec, in northern Ontario and Manitoba.
We favor a customer-driven approach by offering innovative solutions and emerging technologies that bring value to each project carried out.
We are always making the necessary efforts to improve a safe work environment for all our employees and to hire and retain members of the Cree Nation.
The head office is in Chisasibi and we are committed to maximizing local deposits.
Annoucement President of CCDC
CHISASIBI, QC April 3, 2023. The Board of Directors of the Cree Construction and Development Company Ltd. (CCDC) are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Danny Pashagumskum as the new President of CCDC.
Mr. Pash is a member of the Cree Nation of Chisasibi. He is an accomplished airline transport pilot and an instrument procedures designer with over 30 years of experience in various roles of leadership within the private, public, regional, and national levels. He has demonstrated a track record of over 30 years of success in a senior role within a large, complex environment. Danny believes in consistently and effectively communicating a vision based in a management philosophy that emphasizes leading efficient, effective, and safe operations. Danny is also a proud father of two and strives to empower people to bring positive changes.
A message from our general manager
Since 1976, Cree Construction and Development Company, Ltd. has built a solid reputation. We’ve developed very specialized skills in managing and executing projects in the isolated, remote regions of the Great Canadian North.
As the general manager of CCDC since 2013, after having been with the company since 2004, I’m especially proud to participate in facing challenges that are not only enriching but also rewarding, with the aid of an experienced, dynamic team.
We consistently make every effort to improve our work environment in order to ensure the safety of all our employees and we make it a priority to hire and retain members of the Cree Nation.
Having the opportunity to participate in the construction and development of communities for the James Bay Cree Nation is an honor and a privilege. I know that we owe our success to the support of the Cree First Nations.
