TITLE: OPERATOR HEAVY EQUIPMENT
(Niveleuse et chargeur)

Summary :
Relating to and under the authority of the foreman and project manager, the heavy equipment operator (grader and
loader) ensure road repairs. He performs all tasks required by his superior in relation to the road’s work.
Responsibilities
Ensure the progress of the road’s works.
Maintains and repairs the road.
Supervises the machinery setting and makes the reports.
Provides ideas to improve its work.
Reports periodically and on request to his supervisor (tasks’ progress, advancement of the objectives,
etc.)
Travel and / or live for long or short periods on the various project sites.
Performs other related duties.
Requirements
A secondary school diploma is usually required (asset).
3 to 5 years experience in a similar job (construction sector).
Appropriate knowledge in machinery operation is required (principles, practices and techniques).
Mastery of techniques (practices) of equipment operation is required.
Knowledge of health and safety standards.
Knowledge and proper application of safety rules related to the use of machinery.
Excellent knowledge of the Cree language (important asset)
Knowledge of the English language (speaking and writing) (asset)
Functional French.
Experience in a multicultural environment is a key asset.
Must have or be willing to follow / to give all necessary training.
Schedule
• 28 days of work followed by 10 days off
• 60 hours per week.
• Working day and evening
