TITLE: QUALITY SYSTEME MANAGER,

DEPARTMENT: CONSTRUCTION

LOCATION: JAMES BAY

 

Under the authority of the Director of Construction, the quality system manager ensures that the company and its partners obtain and maintain ISO certifications.

Requirements:

  • College degree in civil engineering;
  • Training or experience in quality management;
  • One (1) year of quality management experience;
  • Have some knowledge of the ISO 9000 system;
  • Have appropriate knowledge of current desktop software (Word, Excel, Access, etc.);
  • An excellent knowledge of spoken, written and spoken English is required;
  • Knowledge of the Cree language is a key asset;
  • Must hold or be willing to follow and provide any necessary training.
  • Willing to travel frequently and/or live for more or less long periods on remote sites;

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that ISO certifications are obtained and maintained relevant to the company and its partners;
  • Demonstrates, using statistics, the effectiveness of construction projects;
  • Designs and improves documentation;
  • Writes procedures, quality plans, work instructions, letters, reports and more; 1Prepares internal audits and calibration schedules for measurement equipment;
  • Audits construction sites;
  • Supervises quality assurance staff on construction sites and monitors non-compliance; Is called upon to sit on certain internal audit committees that may be required by supervision;
  • Offers recommendations to improve work;
  • Provides all the effort necessary to meet the schedules, requirements, budgets, priorities, schedules set by the company;
  • Performs any other inherent and/or supervisory-required task.
