Quality systeme manager
TITLE: QUALITY SYSTEME MANAGER,
DEPARTMENT: CONSTRUCTION
LOCATION: JAMES BAY
Under the authority of the Director of Construction, the quality system manager ensures that the company and its partners obtain and maintain ISO certifications.
Requirements:
- College degree in civil engineering;
- Training or experience in quality management;
- One (1) year of quality management experience;
- Have some knowledge of the ISO 9000 system;
- Have appropriate knowledge of current desktop software (Word, Excel, Access, etc.);
- An excellent knowledge of spoken, written and spoken English is required;
- Knowledge of the Cree language is a key asset;
- Must hold or be willing to follow and provide any necessary training.
- Willing to travel frequently and/or live for more or less long periods on remote sites;
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that ISO certifications are obtained and maintained relevant to the company and its partners;
- Demonstrates, using statistics, the effectiveness of construction projects;
- Designs and improves documentation;
- Writes procedures, quality plans, work instructions, letters, reports and more; 1Prepares internal audits and calibration schedules for measurement equipment;
- Audits construction sites;
- Supervises quality assurance staff on construction sites and monitors non-compliance; Is called upon to sit on certain internal audit committees that may be required by supervision;
- Offers recommendations to improve work;
- Provides all the effort necessary to meet the schedules, requirements, budgets, priorities, schedules set by the company;
- Performs any other inherent and/or supervisory-required task.
